Mrs. Trent: "There she is!"
Mr. Trent: "Well then there's--"

Mrs. Trent, smiling, puts her hands on Emily's shoulder, bringing her forward. Emily looks suspiscous.
Mrs. Trent: "Mr. Glover has something to tell us!"
Emily: "Okay..."

Arnold Glover speaks to Emily.
Arnold Glover: "I was just inviting your parents to a demonstration this weekend."

Arnold Glover, narration: "And it will be given by none other than Mr. Robert Kaplan! The head of the Practical Scientists of America!"

Mr. and Mrs. Trent leave the living room, elated.

Mrs. Trent: "Bertrand, how about we get some refreshments?"

Back in the living room, Arnold Glover turns to Emily.
Arnold Glover: "I hope you'll attend, Emily. It'll be the "bees knees" as the kids say."
