Emily: “I was just thinking… if Amelia...”
Emily (continued): “What if spellcraft and arcanists were involved?”

Panel 2:
Mr. Trent points a finger at her while she looks down, sheepish.
Mr. Trent: “Are you crazy, Emily?! Amelia—and you—should know better than to mess around with that poppycock!”
Emily: “But Dad—”

Mr. Trent, voiceover: “Frankly, America’s reliance on spellcraft needed to come to an end! Something that comes from nothing is unnatural!”

Mr. Trent: "There’s no way any daughters of mine would be caught near those arcanists!"

Mr. Glover tries to calm the mood with an awkward smile. Emily sits in silence, her back turned to the viewer.
Mr. Glover: “Don’t worry, Emily.”
Mr. Glover (continued): “I’m sure the police will find who did this. No need for you to worry.”
