Panel 1.
Arnold Glover massages his forehead while sighing in exasperation.
Arnold Glover: "I'm assuming your parents don't know what you've been up to?"

Panel 2.
Emily sheepishly responds.
Emily: "You can imagine how that conversation would have gone."
Arnold, off panel: "Emily!"

Panel 3.
Arnold Glove grabs Emily by the arms, cross but concerned. Emily stands her ground.
Arnold Glover : "This is insane! You should let the police handle this."
Emily: "I can't! I have to do this."

Panel 4.
Arnold Glover grills Emily while she contemplates how to answer him.
Arnold Glover: "Can you at least tell me what this "clue" is? I'd have for you to be running into danger for nothing."
Emily: "Well..."

Panel 5.
Emily attempts to explain. Behind her is a shot of the unfurling spellcraft file.
Emily: "Well, I'm not sure what it is exactly. Oh-! Physically, its a thick document of spellcraft I found in Amelia's room. Really complex spellcraft."

Panel 6.
Arnold Glover sighs while Emily's face brightens.
Arnold Glover: "Well..if you really think this will lead to the answer, then I will support you."

Did you miss the Kickstarter for The Alchemist of Aurillia Volume 1? No problem! The book is now available in my store in eBook, Paperback, and Deluxe Hardcover editions!

Once upon a time, there was an alchemist who created magic: the Alchemist of Aurillia. However, a witch came and stole that magic. Though magic spread to the whole world, their rivalry has never ceased!

Nuriye loves magic. She loves it so much, she spends all her time reading about it instead of practicing to be a competent wizard, much to the chagrin of her lantern familiar, Shale. But when the witch Yahti the World Eater threatens to destroy everything in her path, Nuriye and Shale become the only hope to stop her and protect their home. The key to Yahti's defeat may lie in an old legend from the lost past...the legend of the Alchemist of Aurillia! Joining Nuriye on her quest are Aiza, a sword-brandishing princess; Raziol, a self taught spellcaster; and Xohis, a djinn with a terrible burden. Will the old legend prove to be true?
